Put in a suitable pronoun.
1. She brought us some drinks. We drank them and then fell asleep. It was quite a cool evening.
2. He caught a lizard which caught a fly. It soon swallowed it.
3. She curses the noise of the traffic because it gives her a headache.
4. When we got on the ferry, the man told us that the fare had been increased. He told us that it was two dollars.
5. The postman does not come to our house because it is very isolated. When there are letters for us, we go to the Post Office to collect them.
6. Some animals like darkness because it keeps them safe from most of their enemies.
7. I asked Ron to put some salt on the pineapple. He asked me why I wanted him to do it. I told him that the salt would make the pineapple sweet.
8. Mrs Green told her husband that the iron would not work properly. She asked him to try to repair it. Then she said, "If you can't do it, we must take it to a shop."
9. After the experiment, we washed all the equipment and put it away carefully. Then we wrote about it in our books.
10. I heard the sound of the siren from a fire engine. It made me feel quite excited.
